This FOA (Fiber Optics Association) approved course is intended to provide students with the knowledge and hands-on skills to be competent in basic fiber optic technology.

Successful completion of this course will lead to credit towards our Information Systems and Communications Technology AAT Degree program.

Upon successful completion of the course students will have an opportunity to test for FOA certification.

All courses/seminars are eligible for DoD, corporate and other tuition assistance programs.

It is designed to provide students with knowledge of the fundamentals of lightwave technology, basic optical theory, optical fiber technology, components & connectors, the splicing process, fiber optics applications, optical signals, system performance measurements and proper fiber optic lab safety.
