Information Systems & Communication Technology Associate of Applied Technology

IST Student

This program builds upon the training gained in the Information Systems Technology diploma program. The entire degree can be completed from start to finish in fifteen months.
Typical careers for Information Systems entering the field include, but are not limited to: Computer Operator, Computer Support Specialist, Telecommunications Equipment Installers and Repairers, Electronic Home Entertainment Equipment Installers and Repairers, Electronics Technician, and IT Technician.

Software Development & Programming Technology Associate of Applied Technology

This program builds upon the training gained in the Software Development & Programming diploma program. The entire degree can be completed from start to finish in fifteen months.
Instruction in web development aspect of the program includes coding in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, XML. The main programming languages included in the program are JAVA, C#/C++, RUBY, VB.NET. Students are prepared to sit for the Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) Certification.

Information Systems Technology Diploma

IST Student

The objective of this course is to prepare the student for exciting positions in the expanding field of Information Technology. Over the span of nine months, this program will provide the student with knowledge and skills acquired from intensive classroom study and hands-on labs. This course will provide the fundamentals of cybersecurity, java programing, electronics, computer networks, computer hardware, web design and fiber optics.

Software Development & Programming Diploma

The Software Development program has been designed to prepare students for entry-level employment; typical job titles for software developers entering the field would be software developer, web designer, systems programmer, and application developer.

Fiber Optics Installation Technology

This FOA (Fiber Optics Association) approved course is intended to provide students with the knowledge and hands-on skills to be competent in basic fiber optics technology.

Telecom Installation & Service Technology

This course will provide students with a solid foundation in telecommunications. Training will include classroom studies, extensive hands on, and an emphasis on the upgrading of cabling to meet cable TV, Data, Networking and Internet requirements.

Fiber Optics for Professionals

Cable, panel and closure preparation, fusion splicing, optical loss, reflection testing and OTDR operations. A practical understanding of the knowledge and skill requirements needed to design, install, test and maintain an FTTx network.

FCC Commercial Radio Operations

The objective of this course serves as a refresher for those who have not been in training for some time, and would like to update their knowledge of commercial radio operations.

RADAR Technology

This course will review and prepare for testing in Element 8, which covers RADAR principles, systems, installation, maintenance, and repairs.

Approval & Accreditation

Advanced Training Associates (ATA) has been providing exceptional training in the Medical Assistant and Administrative fields for over a decade. Advanced Training Associates is licensed by the State of California, Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education. Approval to operate means the institution is compliant with the minimum standards contained in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009. ATA is approved for veterans benefits under Title 38, U.S.C. The school is certified by the Veterans Administration to provide training services to veterans entitled to educational benefits. The institution is also approved as a WIA voucher training provider

Advanced Training Associates is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE). All of Advanced Training Associates’ courses are eligible for DoD, corporate and other tuition assistance programs. Approved courses are eligible for Federal Financial Aid for students who qualify.
